Orient Expedition No. 7 - JAPAN

One of the many things for which I admire Japan, is for
their ancient samurais because they represented a true life style
focused in the honor and respect for the enemy.

This is a very special drawing because it's the first time someone
presents Nightmare Moon in a samurai version. There are already
other samurai ponies, but no Nightmare until now.

I draw each kanji for each sentence, which means:
(From up to down, right to left)
    Mare in the Moon
    Empress of the Night
    Seeker of Revenge

The hardest part was the kabuto, because I wanted it to look like
an original samurai helmet in NMM's blue helmet tones. Luckily,
after some drafts and tests, I developed this final version.

I learned a lot about samurais during my research and this was
a unique opportunity to draw something like this.
